Jason Quick and the Age of Jive Band

The Age of Jive Band brings together Jason Quick on electric guitar, Jeff Pedraz on upright bass, Brad Billmaier and drums and cymbals, Kenji Lee on tenor and soprano saxophones, and Will Schneider on the horn commonly called “french". Quick has recruited some of the Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Toledo region’s busiest musicians to play his latest compositions. The band first came together at Stone Soup Studio in Maumee in August 2025, getting enough material in the can for the debut release, Age of Jive. Subsequently, the band played a sold-out show at Lucille’s Jazz Lounge in February ’26 and came back to Stone Soup in July to record the material for Phase 2. The First Phase in The Age of Jive project will see a release on April 1, 2027.
