Jason Quick is a guitarist based in Toledo, Ohio. His approach to playing has been described by Tom Henry in the Toledo Blade as, “free-wheelin’ modern jazz and bebop funk, tempered by smooth, almost sensual guitar.” He has been gigging and recording with his own music for over three decades. Current projects include Quick Trio/Quartet, and The Age of Jive Band. A list of recent collaborators includes Jeff Pedraz, Brad Billmaier, Kenji Lee, Will Schneider, Travis Aukerman, Galen Bundy, Ben Maloney, Norm Damschroeder, Brandon Benson, Jonathan Barahal Taylor, and Ben Wolkins. Quick’s music has been described by midwestrecord.com as “charting new courses and playing with a determination that can’t be held back.” In 2025, Quick released “Get What’s Comin’ by Quick Trio”. Songs from the record played on jazz radio programs across the U.S. including Honolulu. He recently completed a stretch of teaching Commercial Music, Jazz Combo and Guitar classes at Toledo School for the Arts and holds degrees from Wayne State University and Bowling Green State University.
