Back at Luclille’s Jazz Lounge with his latest project, Toledo-based guitarist and composer, Jason Quick presents ‘The Age of Jive Band’. Music for Quintet featuring Quick on guitar, Kenji Lee on saxophones, Will Schneider on horn, Jeff Pedraz on upright bass and Brad Billmaier on drums. Exploratory music that speaks in the Hear and Now. World premier compositions inspired by Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman and the 1971 Larry Coryell record, “Fairyland”.  The music represents a departure from the funky organ jazz recording released by Quick in 2025 to critical acclaim and subsequent airplay on jazz radio in markets across the country, “Get What’s Comin’ by Quick Trio”.
